Bakers Block!

All I can think about this morning is that competition even though its 3 months away!

How do I pick two flavors? Do I really want to do watermelon again? I don’t want to do two fruit flavors but I also don’t want to do anything chocolate.

Did I mention I have to make 300 mini cupcakes? So doing anything with a filling (which I normally do and is pretty much my trademark) is out of the question. That is way too much work! I want to do something unique, something awesome, but also something easy.

Snickers and Crème brûlée are both big hits along with PB&J but all three of those need to be filled, plus I already did PB&J at this competition last year.

I want to try this Root beer cupcake but not everyone likes root beer. Maybe my Orange Cremesicle?

*rips hair out* UGH I have no clue what I want to do but I better decide on two flavors and fast… I need to do test runs, practice, and perfect both recipes.

Back from Vegas….

I dont want to talk about the trip. Just that my cousins wedding was beautiful and I cried like a baby. Oh…. Also I managed to rip out my dermal piercing completely (rip piercing) :\

But anywho the real reason I’m excited and happy is because I came back to work to read an email saying that I have been invited (for the 2nd time) to participate in the San Francisco Cupcake Challenge! Last year was my first time and I did just ok. I was really nervous and honestly could have done a better job. But this time I’m bringing my A game and I’m going balls to the wall. Its not till January so it gives me plenty of time to practice!

I did PB&J and Watermelon last year. I think I’m going to perfect my watermelon ones and bring them back as part of the competition. I need a second flavor to submit as well… It has to be a good one. Time to start testing things every week/weekend.

I do this for reals, not for thrills.
